Build sheet from GM

Has anyone ordered the build sheet/vehicle invoice from GM since they stopped providing them last year?

They're charging $50 and I'm curious what you're getting for that money.

Ask them via socialmedia@gm.com. I think it's the build sheet with RPO codes, not the window sticker. The window sticker, also known as the "monroney" report can be purchased from monroneylabels.com for less than the $50 GM wants, so if GM is in fact only offering the window sticker and not the RPO build sheet, you can get it for less from monroney.

When you reach out to them at that email, they tell you they no longer do it and refer you to the GM heritage page.

Emailed the link and they responded with,

"The vehicle invoice is the documentation of the vehicle cost broken out by model and factory options. It contains the original ship to dealer information, MSRP and invoice number that General Motors used to bill the dealer."

Just curious if anyone has actually paid for and received that.

Did you ask your dealer for a copy of the original order, invoice and any/all information about your car? My dealer gave me copies of everything and all prior dealers have done that for me on vehicles I order.

The "build sheet' is an internal manifest that's used by line workers. They are sometimes found (usually ln the trunk these days) and thrown away by porters during PDI most of the time, unless specified otherwise by future owner. Rare piece of factory documentation especially on the high performance versions.

Before they started charging for it, this is what you’d get by emailing them. Really everything there you can get from the QR code sticker if your cars built after a certain year, maybe the only thing is the build state but not too sure

Have not found the build sheet in our 2022 SS or in our older 2013 SS either. Just sold our 2002 TransAm, & gave the new owner all the original documentation including the window sticker & build sheet.

Same here. I believe it was either in the trunk or the glove box when I picked up the vehicle. Of course, I had asked the dealership not to do anything but the most basic PDI on the vehicle - not to wash it, leave all the plastic on, etc., so that may be why it wasn't thrown out before I got the car.

All this, same here. Requested PDI only and no cleanup. Dealership provided invoice and build sheet.

When i grow up i wanna be you! The first new car i ever bought was a 79 T/A that i special ordered. In those days mere mortals could arrange a tour to the VN plant and see their order being built..or at least on the day it was built(they punched out a lot of those in 79) Build sheets were usually stuffed in the rear seat springs then. My 15 Z/28 has one taped to the rear tire cover,pretty much the standard placing on those models.
