AWE exhaust is kinda...crooked.

I’ve had an AWE Touring full cat-back with PLPs installed for about a month now and I just now have noticed that the left side exhaust exits are not even. I always back my car in to parking spots so I don’t really see the rear of my car a whole lot. I was at the dealer today and as I was looking at it sit in the service bay, the uneven alignment really stuck out. My OCD was making my eye twitch and everything looking at it. I have not banged on it or caused any type of impact to bend it in any way.

Anyone else have this problem? I absolutely love the exhaust but for spending almost $2k on this setup, I would at least expect stuff to be visually even.

The tips are all independently adjustable...so if they're crooked it should be an easy fix.

The first thing I did was try to adjust the tips. No matter what I tried to do, that inside exhaust exit has just enough of an angle to cause the uneven alignment.

The right side exhaust tips look perfect. It’s just the left side that is slightly uneven. I’ll reach out to AWE and see what they say.

Loosen this clamp and twist the whole muffler.

I came across this when we were testing the systems. Simple fix should take care of it. Just make sure the clamp is tightened to the recommended spec.

Thank you,
Ricardo

Like mentioned, it's the muffler. Just rotate it a little.

Not a bad idea while you're under there to re-torque all the band clamps, after a few heat cycles mine all were out of spec.

I had the same issue and had to rotate the muffler at the joint, as well as massage the hanger a bit. Took a bit but in the end came out fine. Same drivers's side, too.

BTW you can hide the bolts...that is what I did! Also you need to do a better job of cleaning your tips @ Charlie Romeo.
