Where does this piece fit in the trunk?

It’s been a while since I tore the trunk apart and I can’t for the life of me figure out where this piece on the rear window fits. Appreciate any help.

Are you sure that piece belongs to your Camaro? I don't think I have that in my car.

looks like a part number is on that piece? look it up online by part number and you'll be able to get an idea of where it belongs.

Is it a cover for the opening in your passenger side trunk that I see is open in the photo?

Doesn't look familiar and no online parts breakdown shows it either.

No, it isn't the battery cover, that's felt and has a different shape.

What does the other side look like? That looks like a piece that goes on top of what is in the wheel well to make it flat for the carpet to lie on. Like a mold that fills in the gaps left by a tire pump sitting in the spare wheel well. The hole in the middle looks like a long bolt would go through to secure the whole thing and hold it down.

I can't find it either. there are a lot of photos of trunk tear-downs in the audio sub forum. This piece I do not see.

better photos might help. A portion of that also looks like it is embossed with some markings.
