How's it going!?
I'm new here and looking for my next car to buy+mod. Iv been out of the game for 7 years. Sold my old 2001 SS camaro 7 years ago and I NEED another fast car. Was thinking on buying a new LT1 but I have concerns. I HATE active fuel management and I wonder how long the 10L80 will last. Iv stayed away from the 2016-2018 years because of the stories of the 8spd trans. Then I read about some of the valve springs letting go in what the 2020-2021 models? Also pushrods bending?!
If I did buy a new LT1 I would shut off the AFM before getting the chance to DELETE the whole thing and install a cam. Is that still possible with these new models? How about tuning support, is there any? Somebody help me put my mind at ease so I can pull the trigger on one of these will ya?!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Wow thanks! Iv been offered a beer before, but NEVER a fridge full of beers like that! I will definitely need that couch, I will not be moving for the day after!
