Who is leaving the ZL1 add-ons lift blocks on

After owning them for nearly two years I just installed them this morning as I'm having my tires replaced. Curious if everyone is leaving them installed or removing them after each use.

I've not ever heard of them falling off.

Installed mine at ~750mi, and am now ~5700mi after 18 mos with no issues with the car up in the air 4 or 5 times. One screw on one of mine needed to be tightened after a month. They have been rock solid since.

Some folks have used blue loctite, others swap to longer set screws, or both. If you're like most folks who probably just do nothing then check them and tighten if necessary after your first drive, and then again after a month or two.

I left mine on with a little blue loctite.
Also switched to standard hex head screws. So much easier to deal with than the set screws.

Thanks for the replies. I will leave them on and next time I'm under there I will add some loctite.

They are 1/4-28 x 1/2"

If you want to upgrade to 3/4" long, try these:

No, under 30 cents each.

$7 is for a pack of 25... which will do 3 cars.

On the car, daily drive, 15000 miles...
Not loose, checked them 2-3 times when the car is up for fluid change
Didn’t Move or unscrew...
