It is MUCH better in 2016.
my 2010 had horrible wheel hop, though mostly when wet. I added lowering springs, sway bars, pedders bushings all over, BMR track arms, with both bushings!. Nothing helped in wet. 2016 does it on occasion in wet but much less pronounced and for a shorter period.

I wonder if MRC would help at all in preventing wheel hop?

Nope. MRC owners have reported it as well.
MRC and non MRC owners seem to be saying it is MUCH improved over the 5th gen though, which is great. As that should mean a few aftermarket components should fix it. |

Wheel hop is not a problem on mine. GM really did a good job transitioning the power from the engine to the pavement.

Went to the track for the first time in my 17 m6. Had wheel hop everytime. Not real bad but had it every time.
