Scratched the hood vent
I was polishing the hood and the side of the polisher took a little knick out of the clear coat on the hood vent. Any advice on how to fix this? I have a clear coat pen as well as a wet sand kit, but I don't want to make it worse.

You can't tell from the picture, but it's pretty noticeable. And I don't care if it's a track car or not. It has 260 miles and haven't been able to get it to the track yet. It should be flawless.

Know how you feel mikeyg36. It does look like you need to put another coat on there before you start wet sanding. It should be a raised bump before you start.
Go slow, you'll get there. |

Wow you're so helpful 10/10
I don't have a picture of it but it came out completely thankfully. There's just a tiny little bubble that looks like it came from the factory. |

I would just say it happened while passing a GTR on the track......no one will ever question you.
Own it like a badge of honor.

Glad it worked out to your satisfaction, OP.
I must say, if you are using a polisher on your car that has only 260 miles on it, you suffer from the same disease I do. Careful you don't kill it with kindness |
