LSA rebuild kit - anyone do this, should anyone do this?

I have a used LSA blower and today I took off the snout. It is fairly dirty in there and I asked myself why not take it apart and clean it properly. I have a couple of weeks until the rest of my parts show up so I have some time.

I found a rebuild kit for $295 at Superchargers on line. It has oil all the bearings and parts you need to rebuild.

First question, is this necessary? Second question anyone ever do this and what was the result?

I would send it somewhere like Kong Performance for porting and a rebuild.
