That presentation was just uncomfortable to watch.

I am definitely interested in the smaller brake conversion and the mag ride, transmission and eDiff recalibration.

I don't understand.

All Gen6 ZL1 Coupes with the A10 have a 2.85 eLSD.

They do? I thought the A10's only got a regular LSD.

*edit* maybe I'm thinking of the convertibles having the regular LSD.

No, the only Gen6 ZL1 that gets a regular LSD are the Convertibles..

A10 Coupe is a 2.85
M6 Coupe is a 3.73

and both are eLSD.

Ok cool. Well that answers the question on whether GM was going to make different eLSD ratios, though I'm sure that's not the ratio direction the drag-guys wanted to see.

I don't drag a ton, so the diff gearing : tire height : HP/TQ : and target gear & MPH stuff is all lost on me. Though, I'd have thought with over 700HP (and likely TQ as well), with the pics of the rear setup they're using and the A10's 1st gear, I think if you went too much higher (er.. lower I guess depending on the wording) it would be too much gear... A10's first gear is a crazy 4.70:1

So, for the M6 you have a 2.29 x 3.73 = 8.54
and for the A10 you have 4.70 x 2.85 = 13.40
in 1st gear overall ratios for each.

Though, on the LSD for the ZL1 Convertibles.. At one point, they simply stated 2.77 for both M6 and A10 and now I'm seeing that maybe that's not the case and it's 2.77/3.73 -- which would make sense as they'd just be using the regular SS diff, w/o all the electronic bits since the car is missing that, along with the PDR and the ZL1 wing --> SS wing.

I would like to know what specific items are there for us M6 owners, also. I think some of us (M6)can actually get some great times if we could get a 60ft under 1.9s...
We Love our cars! Please help us with a "drag pack" Tune!!
If we could get out of the hole, we could win more races!

Development started with the 2016 SS, but I agree they locked up the control modules in '17 and decided to only release calibrations for these new locked models with different encryption keys -- hence the 2017 MRC calibration for the 1LE kit will not work on 2016 SS.

To the person that mentioned GM pulling a "pay to play" with the Camaro, I think they are right. And to the person asking where the SS drag program parts went... it took them 2 years to get a CAI out of emissions hell in California and they released the 1LE suspension upgrade (but only for 2017's if you want the MRC calibration). What more do you really expect from GM? =)

They will probably use a new key for all modules on the '19 refresh and re-release the same parts for those with different numbers but slow roll us with the release schedule because make a copy of the same unencrypted package file is oh so hard. If they are serious about performance and staying ahead of what the Mustang offers to meet every customer combo, they will need to offer the A10 with 1LE in '19. I won't buy another GM product with the 8Lxx transmission in it.

Seriously. ZL1 guys hate to say it but these parts are like vaporware. Look how long ago they announced the SS Drag Developement and still have nothing to show.

I agree completely. I expect we'll eventually get a CAI, and that'll be about it.

If they wanted to sell the parts, they'd be selling them. GM has had their hands on the ZL1 longer than any aftermarket provider. The aftermarket has similar parts available, so there's no excuse for GM not having them available.

If/when these parts are ever made available, it'll be on a new model ZL1. Maybe they'll bolt up to the existing ZL1s, but if they're not offered as an official accessory they will not retain the vehicle warranty.

Keep your warranty when you install the long tubes that move, at least, the front cats out of the stock location and change to, at best, aftermarket cats? That will be an interesting thing.

I'm keeping my 17 SS 1LE legal on the warranty side for all the track days I'm doing. If they want to give me / us an okay to put long tubes, I'll be glad to buy the ARH's they list!

For the ZL1 guys, maybe they'll add the new TVS2650 blower and PFI / DI fuel system, ECM, etc. from the LT5 into the mix!

The money GM and ARH could rake in with pulley, Intake and headers. Good lord. I’d be willing to pay that premium to hold my power train (that i was intending to lose).

Im curious (if the small chance this ever actually happened) if they would offer a drop in tune for the headers..otherwise I don’t see how anyone is maintaining warranty as previously claimed.
