Unfortunately I don't think anyone on this forum has an answer for the 18" solution. Eighty percent will tell you to buy a winter rat and the rest don't know what snow is. A few people have bought close-outs that are no longer available. I asked a few custom shops and they said they could build me a set for double the regular price. So it looks like if you have the luxury of sizing an eighteen at the place of sale, give it a try. Most likely I will go with the nineteen inch aftermarket alloys for this winter. I am REAL close to cutting off the brake pad weights and try an eighteen tho!

18's will fit, it's just the offset you have to deal with. The 17" Bogarts have a hundred thou clearance between rim and calender.

I just looked and I do have the roller skate type weights on the break pad backings. I understand this is not a good thing when it comes to finding 18" wheels...

ANY help finding something 18" would be much appreciated...Rudy??

Al has hit it right on - I want more sidewall for more traction in the winter. 19s may not be good enough here, and I can't afford a winter beater, so if nothing acceptable is available I may have to sell the car in order to get to and from work this winter. Not really ideal.
