Unhappy Leg room in the C7

I just had the opportunity to sit in a C7 Vette coupe at a local dealership. I am 6ft 4 in tall, and when I sat in the car with the seat all the way down, back, etc, my knees were against the dash. That may be OK for a short trip, but would be a problem on a longer drive. God forbid that I was ever in an accident. I guess there is no hope for me to purchase a C7. Anyone else have this experience?

I guess being tall in school or good at basketball was the high points.......not being able to have a C7 is the low point for sure-

Being 6'4" myself I hope you are wrong. Mine has been on order for a long time. worse comes to worse I will be modding that seat to make it fit.

I'm 6'4" 245lbs also, hopefully this isnt true. I'm going to an Expo in a few hours to sit in one, i'll share my thoughts once I get back.

I really dont want to have to modify mine.

I am ecstatic When I say I fit!!! again 6'4" 245 and I fit great, felt like I was in the cockpit of a fighterjet. It's a little harder to get into than my truck but that was expected, Only downside now that I've seen one/sat in one in person it's making waiting that much harder. I feel like a kid on christmas that got to open a present then had it taken away

Overall completely blown away with how great it felt to sit in and see it in person, interwebs dont do it justice!

I am 6'. 6" and my shins are in the dash with the seat full down and back. I called the Chevy plant and they had someone tall sit in the c7 with all the different seat configurations and manual / auto transmissions as well... Same problem! I told them I felt like someone put a steak on front of me and said you can't have any!!! I hope they resolve this or the will lose the market share of is tall people! One of the reasons I fell in love with vettes was it was a sports car I could fit in! The rest was history!!

I sat in one several months back at 6'4" - 245lbs and fit pretty well. after dropping about 30 lbs I fit allot better. If you have any weight to shed that might be an option.

Daboo, I've had a person who was 6'-7" tall and all legs sit in my car, as he was afraid he wouldn't fit. He fit just fine, and even had to move the seat up a little to push the clutch in all the way. Some dealers apparently just haven't figured out how to set the "easy exit" feature properly, and that seems to be causing some unnecessary issues for taller potential buyers. The gentleman who sat in mine ordered his that afternoon and has been quite happy with his Stingray!

When I first sat in mine last week I felt cramped to say the least, the clutch was hard to push without my leg hitting dash, couldn't see out of the window very well, so I thought i made a mistake. After playing with the seat controls a bit i was getting an uneasy feeling in my gut, but then at last I realized one of the controls moves the seat down but only if the seat is not all the way back and reclined against the back wall. Huge sigh of relief, after that I fit with plenty of room to spare. So move the seat forward and tilt it up, and press down on the one that moves it back and forth to move the seat down all the way. Then slide it back and recline.

Hope this helps.
I'm 6'4" ~240lbs
