Looking forward to seeing those wheels on your car. They are going to have an aggressive offset to maintain a deep lip.

You will know when black wheels are dirty, believe me. They show dirt more than any other color. Not brake dust, I'm talking about dirt. They always look dusty. I have them on a Carrera GTS with a circumferential machined lip. The only time they look nice and shiny is after washing them, which I have to do often. Admittedly, here in South Florida the dampness helps the dirt stick to the wheel, especially on the leading edges.

As you can see, I chose the machined wheels for the Stingray. They always look clean, at least on the non-z51, as brake dust is non-existent and the dirt doesn't show.

I like the way the black wheels complement the black trim pieces on the car.

^^^^^^

Yes, especially in the C7 ZO6!
As stated earlier...it Makes The Car. The black wheels blend in with black trim areas exceptionally well....just like in the old days the chrome blended in with the chrome trim.

I wonder if we'll be able to grab that grille and put it on a base C7. Thoughts on if it'll work?

I have a CRT C7 with just the painted alloys (would love to have had the Z51 style machined). Black wheels never looked good to me and still don't even though the rest of the car is gorgeous (IMHO -which really doesn't matter anyway. After-all, some like blonds, some like red heads and some like brunettes).

personally I can't stand the look of chrome rims… I'm 38 and both of my cars and my truck have black rims… I don't see it as a age thing….I think it looks more like a track car with black rims and more aggressive IMO, I'd go black rims.

I just used wheel wax for the first time on my C7 black wheels last night. Wow do they look hot right now, definitely would recommend this if you guys haven't done. Used a powercone to apply and wiped off. They look super glossy and claims to repel brake dust better. To the touch they feel so smooth and slippery it's unreal.
