Practice helps. That means doing an order every few years. Do enough orders and it will still be a roller coaster ride! Oh, that contradicts my first sentence. Well, order anyways to experience the anticipation if for no other reason.

My Beast got put in jail (bayed) on 10-9-13...still there as of 5pm 10-16-13 and the dealer said they don't expect it before next week sometime- at the earliest. My vin is 3139 and I saw one today at 4378...so 1200 vettes are bayed I assume

That has to drive a guy nuts! It's one thing to wait for it to be built, but knowing it exists and just sitting somewhere waiting to be delivered requires a new level of patience.

Not all 1200 aee bayed... who knows what the exact numbers are but definitely some were delivered, some are in transit on the trucks, some are in between stages, some are under QC hold, and obviously some still bayed.

Bayed sense last Thursday it is killing me to wait knowing it is built. Hopefully the log jam breaks today.

Mine went 4b00 last Tuesday.
I've got 3 others on my spreadsheet that also did Tuesday, spread over 91 vin#'s.
Then bob and glen that were built last Thursday.
I haven't seen any on our thread that have made it out from vin 3600 forward..

However, when I analyzed based on workdays since leaving 3300 (since 9-30) that have been shipped, it's average was about 6-7 days. The ones delivered avg 11 days.
Assuming Bob may have been gone 3400 on 30th, today is 14 workdays (assuming they were off Monday). I'm sitting at 10 days since 3300.

Then also giving the post yesterday that a production delay caused Museum deliveries to be cancelled 17-21st, just appears to be something that's snagged us up.

I decided to do the CHAT on chevy site. I closed it after he told me what I already knew. But a few minutes later, it dawned on me he said it's "waiting to be shipped", which technically would mean that it wasn't being held for QC..

New chat today:

CAC: I currently show your car bayed in the VDC in Bowling Green. Awaiting shipment
Me: ok , so no hold for QC ?
CAC: no , just waiting to build a full load to the dealership....

Better than a sharp stick in the eye, I guess....

I have learned through trial and error that 4B00 can be an indication of QC. As far as I know people checking a status through the master server can not tell.

But one has to go to 4B00 before going to 4200 so QC or not, getting to 4B00 is a sign of progress. If I recall correctly, the time (ten days) allowed to the shipper to actually start moving does not start until 4200.
