My stitching, near the outer seat belt mount, started separating. That was with less than 2K-miles. I took it in a little more than a year from new-purchase, and it was replaced under warranty. GM had to pre-approve the warranty, but there was nothing they could say that was anything but a manufacturing issue.

They replaced the exact cover that had the failing stitching. Everything else was original. They had to remove it from the car, FYI.

No issues here, although that’s to be expected since I just got the car

That said, I’ve been quite impressed with the seats so far! In particular I wasn’t looking forward to loosing a full leather surface, but alcantara looks very nice (to me), and of course there is the benefit of being less slippery. And on top of that, they hug you really well, even for a guy of my small size.

Anyway sorry, back to the topic at hand

Geoff

Radz, so they removed seat from car, and replaced the bolster section only? Did they repaired it in house, or sent it out? How long did the repair
Take? Thx

My driver’s seat bolster is starting to show some wear on the side closest to the door from getting in and out of the car. Whenever I drive my Camaro or Corvette, I usually move my wallet from a back pocket to a side pocket so it doesn’t catch on the bolster when I get in the car.

It helps if you use the feature that slides the seat all the way back when you enter and exit the vehicle. It helps you avoid sliding across the bolster and wearing it down.

Well, the seat is all the way back,I’m tall, so, unless I can remove
The useless rear seat ( ha ha) I just have to squeeze in, went to
Stealership for warranty on this, and they say they have to remove
The seat from car, and The top half of leather seat has to be removed
And new top half installed over the existing foam!
That’s a hard job! I don’t know why they just install a complete
New seat! Hopefully they’ll send it out!
