Haha, A better driver may get a better time in my car! I believe there is still more time to be cut. I found that my lighter clutch is indeed revving the engine faster. I was getting into the rev limiter on the front stretch and my shift light was coming on in places it never had before. The light comes on a few hundred rpm before the actual limiter engages. I've also run faster thru Turn 16 before.

But the new clutch wasn't the only improvement. I consistently carried more speed thru a handful of corners.
My tightening the car up was a big change towards better chassis balance. Having a better set of matched tires did too, The fronts had 2 sessions on them and the rear were brand new. That is all that changed from my TNiA track day the previous week where I barley mustered a 2:01.

I wanted to adjust the rear ARB to its softest setting after session 2, but I resisted. I'll probably do it for the next track day. It was still slightly towards oversteer, especially towards the end of a session. I dropped the static tire pressure 2 lbs vs the fronts in an effort to gain a little more rear grip. That didn't seem to matter much.

I did it. I took a chance on getting the alignment correct, between where I mounted the sub belts on the floor to where they came up into the seat. There is not much room for forward or rearward movement of the seat and having the sub belt not run into anything.

The Z/28 Recaros would be easier to do this to because they are not power seats. Th motor is the biggest obstacle on the power Recaros.

As for the slot, I calculated where it should be based on published recommendations by Schroth and other safety groups. Cutting the Recaro seat cover and foam was the easy part, cutting a slot in the seat frame was a little more difficult because you don't want metal grinding debris thrown everywhere. There is a stamped steel bottom to the seat framework. Once I had that hole cut, and the seat cover hole open, It was just a matter of installing the plastic bezel. I did take some pics, I throw some up here soon.

UPDATE!

I am finally moving into a Gen6.

My Camaro has been de-modded and going in for a trade, I am ordering a 2022 1SS 1LE.

It is almost back to factory parts and damn, the thing drives so nice.

If I were a track rat, that’s the same route I’d go but the 14’ sim ZL1 vert m6 won out.
Have to look you up on gen6 side for updates on the 22’
