Brembo upgrade
Hi guys, I recently.made the decision to upgrade to the preformance calipers in the front and 4 piston in the back for track use. For simplistic sake I want to know how much you think it would cost for a company to swap out the calipers, I am providing the rotors and the calipers and the pads and new lines, so just keep the cost estimate to the labor for replacing them and bleeding the lined and such. The reason I am asking is I got quoted 1500 for replacing the 4 calipers and bleeding the lines etc... I think that is very high but I have no clue. Anybody knowledgeable in the area?

When I say replacing the calipers I mean labor only.

I would think maybe 4-6 hours of shop time at 135 an hour is about $550 to 800.....
Unless I am really missing something....

I think we are gonna do it ourselves. I watched a few youtube videos and it doesn't look too bad compared to some of the other stuff we have done. If anyone is in PA, NJ, NY let me know we would be happy to have the help and we will pay you for your expertise!

I've done the Brembo 6 piston performance brake upgrade and it wasn't bad. Just do yourself a favor and have the right tools for the brake bleeding. Not having the right size tubing makes a mess

Just do it....yourself...if have the Tools and place to do it.
I just changed all four of mine...I am a disabled veteran and do not move to well. But this was one of the easiest...changes I have done...I also use a Motive Powerbleeder to help. I didn't need to replace the rotors...as they have less than 2000 miles on them, from the GM TSB change. Just make sure to get some replacement...Caliper bolts...they are Torque to Yield...from the factory! Oh and get some Loctite 242 Blue! I got my bolts from this place and they are really nice bolts! https://screamingchicken.com/2016-21...caliper-bolts/ Some photos of the change!
