I just cannot fathom the idea of toy/sports/exotic cars ever being powered by a !@#$% battery. Just no and more no. Daily driver? Fine. Some work vehicles? Sure. Maybe even school buses. But NOT "fun" cars. Im out.

Well I you took a box, slapped on an apple logo and put dog turds in it people would still line up all night to be the first to buy!
If Ford neutered the Mustang gt to 300hp people would still buy it while the ss and lt1 both faster collect dirt and dust on the dealer lots. |

And that's the lesser worry for enthusiasts, no matter how good the 'E' may be as a vehicle in its own segment. Norm

Don't be surprised if Chevy does the same with Camaro like Ford has done with an EV Mustang. Ford is putting itself out there, and if it becomes a sales success, as it appears to be so far, the Camaro name could be used in a heartbeat to follow the Mustang model.
Only difference will be ICE Camaros will be dead, unlike Mustang who will continue to make both, probably at least for a lot longer than Chevy. Mustang production isn't propped up with other models like Camaro is with the ICE Cadillac sedans that will be gone very soon...just sayin'. |

If it is a success GM will follow. They always have and most likely always will - back and forth
