How do you wash your Corvette?

I saw CorvetteBlogger do this.. So I figured it'd be cool to see how the C7 members wash their cars.

By hand, every week, two buckets, proper tools, no shortcuts.

I use two buckets....I do the wheels and tired first with a 3rd bucket (or rinse out the first one...but don't want the dirt from wheels to be splashed on car if I have already washed the body........I have a master blaster air force dryer to dry the whole car in about 6 minutes and I mean it is great- LOVE THIS THING....had it about a year....be glad to post a video if I can.. not towels for drying and therefore no scratches from even the fiber towels

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the air dryer? It would help me a lot with my Edsel. It's so hard to dry that land barge before water spots form

it was just over 325.00 when I bought mine, but like I said if others are interested I can try to get a special pricing deal if he will. I have had mine about 7 months and use it on my Charger/wifes car/son's lexus and our mastercraft....I promise water never leaks from any mirror -gas door- trunk or anything

I'd be interested. With how big my Envoy is and her near black paint I can barely keep up with drying her off after a bath.

Urrtoast....Ive done that before- way back in the day, but this has a great hose that you can aim and get close- rubber tip that wont damage car if you hit it and not bulky like a leaf blower. It also has a filtering system that collects dust and wont blow it through it like a leaf blower...........just think its a great invention-

Did the Chemical Guys waterless treatment today in my garage. Worked pretty good, about an hour and done. No water wasted, not a sweat broken. I'll see how it lasts this week as far as shine is concerned.

Such an awesome idea. I've got a big compressor in my shop, so I use an air hose to blow the water off the my bike's engine etc..

I'd thought about the leaf blower before, but with the dust etc we have around here, didn't want to take a chance. The thought of dropping something like that on the paint always worried me.

Our biggest problem here is extremely hard water (60+grains hardness) Even after the softener, it's going to leave spots/residue. I put a undersink RO unit next to my softener- and a shutoff valve, then ran the 1/4" tube outside to a 120 gallon tank from farm/ranch supply. Takes at least a week to fill completely, but I can wash a couple of cars and bikes every weekend, and the motorhome occasionally. It's amazing what RO water does. Usually, I just wipe off the pooling water which dust might settle on, and clean the windows. I little bit of blow dry would be perfect... Wonder if it comes with a styling brush?

I have been using Garry's method for the last year - no hose, no scratch - perfect results in 20 min - if your car never gets too dirty, this is so easy...truthfully, it changed the way I wash...I don't use his Juice - use Duragloss Rinseless off their site is 10 bucks - turtle wax makes one too at Walmart.

the drying towel he talks about is at microfibertech.com
