Best Polish/Wax

I'm taking a chance here. On some other corvette sites when this topic is discussed, it can get rather "caustic" and personal. That's not my intent here. I searched and couldn't find anything......sooooooooo, here we go!

I've always used Zaino....at least for the past 15 years. I'm not a "wax" fan...prefer the newer technologies (polymers, etc.). However, I'm sure everyone has their favorite....and I'm always open to other suggestions to help my vette shine and have that "wow" factor.

That's a loaded question....the Corvette Community has always been partial to Zaino, which is terrific stuff.

I've had good success with Griot's Garage products. I also like Pinnacle products. I just bought 22PLE, which is a coating that will be going on my Stingray hopefully this weekend.

I'm with you, waxes are dead in my book...I have become a huge fan of spray on walk away polymers.....just so damn easy...I hate buffing that white powder haze off....I like several:
Prima hydromax 2
Blackfire crystal seal
Dodo tropical red
Optimum opti seal
Ultima paint guard plus...

Been a long time since I've had a car I felt inspired to work this hard cleaning. Probably at least 30 years since I bought wax. When I bought my first 'show' bike a couple years ago, I found some things like 'Thunderbolt', and spray on polymers. With literally 100's of things to have to choose from, I'm glad you've started this... I'm googling all of these mentioned!

Sorry for dumb questions... I was looking at the zaino site. So many different things. And I realized I didn't know if our paint has a clear coat. I figured I needed to ask!

I tried ice. It didn't work very well in my opinion. I use Mother's now.

I have always used Meguiars premuim line... but I'm well aware there are higher quality products out there, i.e. Blackfire, Adams, Griots, etc.

My Race Red Boss is regularly applied with Meguiars Pro Showcar Glaze and Yellow Wax. Still glistens like a Hollywood star from day 1 to 18 months to date...

But now with the Stingray, with Glen's assistance, we'll go to town on the Blade Silver.

I have used Zaino, Collinite, CQuartz, Menzerna Powerlock, Wolf's Hardbody and 22PLE.

In my opinion, 22PLE is the best I have used. All were great products but 22PLE lasts WAY longer than anything else I have used (other than CQuartz), is really easy to use, sheds dirt like you would not believe (which really helps ease cleaning), and looks great.

Powerlock doesn't last very long (4 to 6 months). Zaino and Collinite last longer... if you are careful 8 to 12 months. Cquartz lasted me over a year and the same with 22PLE. The biggest benefit, IMO, however of CQuartz and 22PLE is how they shed dirt. They do this way more effectively than anything else I have used. Also 22PLE is the easiest to work with in my experience.

However, you can't go wrong with any of these products.

I don't think any cars are made without clearcoat now days. But I have been wrong before....
