Locating a suitable vacuum line
I just got my BOV and it comes with a plastic tee and rubber hose that's all 1/8" (that's what it looks like). Reading other threads on this topic, I see most people cut into their brake booster but that's a huge 3/8" hose. 1) I'd rather not cut into something that big and that important for safety and practicality reasons and 2) it requires some sort of adapter to shrink the tee down to 1/8, which means more fittings I have to search for and buy.
Anybody know of a 1/8" vacuum line that can be tee'd ?

Tap into the back of the intake manifold. There is a small nipple next to where the brake booster hose attaches. Looks like you have NPP so there should be a hose there.

Err.. I found a curious looking thing behind the last coil on the driver's side valve cover. It's covered with a rubber boot that has a flat grip handle and is very easy to pull off. Underneath looks like a 1/4" pipe. Is that what you were talking about? I didn't see anything else.

No, that is a blocked off port for PCV. The one he is talking about might require you to take off the manifold to get to.

You will have to take the intake manifold off to get to that nipple above. I believe 1/4" ID hose will fit over it. 1/8 wont be big enough so you may need special tee 1/4 to 1/8. The driver side nipple near the TB is where some guys get vac references when they go boosted (red nipple in pic above on left side). That's what i used for my wastegates/BOV/hobbs switch, booster controller. but you will have to do something with the evap line. I just route mine to vent down near the k member. I used the nipple on the back of the intake manifold for my fuel pressure regulator.

Looks like it's right at the ass-end of the manifold. Does it not protrude and stick out so one can access it? If not I might just cut the hose going to my exhaust and tee it... provided that's accessible... and provided it's rubber.

But if I were to tee it to a BOV, there's no leak in the system (it simply goes to a diaphragm) so wouldn't it continue to function normally?

Why don't you just tee of from right behind the throttle body? ( where the yellow/red caps are on in the picture)
