Tony Mamo or Soler?
Has anyone done the comparison between the two throttle bodies to see which is a better bang for the buck?
I'm looking to combine that with a Rotofab CAI.... If so, please share. |

The LT5 TB with adapter is more cost effective and flows more air than either one of those. Plus, it gives you room to grow, should you decide to put a smaller pulley on the blower.

Can you even fit the LT5 TB to the OEM supercharger? I thought you needed to at least port the snout?

You have to use an adapter ring. There are a few companies making them now. Also need the ring because the bolt pattern is different on the LT5 TB. Porting the snout is highly recommended but not required.

I have removed the Mamo TB and replaced it with a Soler on my Z06. The Mamo is an improvement over OE, the Soler is a significant improvement over the Mamo, in my experience. When I purchased my ZL1, the first thing I did do the car was install a Soler TB and Roto Fab CAI. Skip the Mamo and go straight for the Soler. Follow the relearn procedure and never look back.

All we'll ask is that you look carefully at the number of features, surface finish, performance plots, geometry scans. Many comparisons done by Corvette 7 owners (LT1/LT4 Engines) and posted at corvetteforums.com. |

You bet! I posted some questions on the other Camaro6 ZL1 thread that's active (ZL1 Owners, This Super Easy and Very Effective Mod Is For You Too"). When you have a second, can you please advise? Thanks Mike...

There’s an option for both. Soler will perform their modifications to a TB that’s already been ported by Mamo.
