I was messaging Mike on FBM and he is going to get a hold of me when they release the pump in March/April 24’.

Yeah I’m definitely interested in details as soon as we can get them. I’m now torn between this and the upcoming DSX port option.

Whoever comes out first with more flow than the LPE, I'm in.

I wonder if they will release any leading edge angle data.

Referencing this thread, I hope the new pump has better results than this. Only a 15% increase in E content. That’s pretty sad lol

LPE pump was never designed for LT4 injectors and their typical 2900 psi pressure, or stock fuel lobes for that matter. It can run a bigger cam fuel lobe than an LT4 HPFP can but it’s real magic is significantly more fuel volume, but at a lower pressure. If you have small injectors then the pump doesn’t do a ton for you. But if you have big injectors that can move fuel at 2175 psi, you can definitely rock and roll. I’m at 1230 crank HP on E50, and could probably do 1400+ HP on race gas, DI only. So the combined LPE pump & +52 injectors are designed to work together and they do.

It sounds like this new pump can move even more volume AND carry it at higher pressures. Sounds awesome, frankly.

Something must have been off with his then cause he said he had the pump and injectors. Guessing +30’s % injectors

Either way I have my fingers crossed that this pump works good. I have lt4 everything + jms and I’m trying to hit 9’s. It’s either meth or this pump and I’d rather have the pump

Stock cam if I read that link correctly. LPE pump gets you very little gains without a bigger fuel lobe.

Really looking forward to more details on this new pump.

Yeah I agree. There are definitely gains but it's not a lot for the cost. Back when the LPE pump was 1500.00 it made more sense. +30/LPE HPFP is worth about +80whp of additional fuel headroom on a stock cam car. I can get LT1's to around 700whp on E60 and LT4's to around 720whp with that fuel system. You definitely wouldn't get there with LT4 fueling on E60.

We're still in the testing phase. Everything so far has been VERY promising.

We made over 1,300hp with turbos and full E85 on the engine dyno.

We made 1520hp on C16 with <100° pump angle when the inercoolers would no longer keep up.

LT4 injectors will operate at 3,600psi. We have been doing it for years. +30% injectors are stable to roughly 3,200psi and +65% are stable at 2,700psi.

Cost will be less than the LPE but do not expect it to be 50% less.

Good stuff, Mike. Out of curiosity, what rail pressure was being commanded in the above scenarios? Were you out of steam at the 1300 WHP with full E85 or was there still a bit more available?

2,700psi as we are using XDI +65% injectors.

I want to say the final number was 1320hp on full E85 and we were just clipping 130° of pump angle at the top.

Ok, great. That’s an important distinction as holding that high fuel volume at 2700 psi is impressive. If you have to drop the pump to 2200 psi then your injector output scales down. While it’s not a linear drop, it’s still an issue so I’m glad to hear the pressure stays up. It doesn’t look like we’ll see any injectors bigger than +65 anytime soon (unless you know something there haha).

That's 1320hp at the flywheel correct? I believe this was done on an engine dyno. Originally on Facebook I thought it was WHP.

This still looks to be a very expensive path compared to current port injection systems not to mention the upcoming DSX.

What would be the benefit to going this route vs. port injection?
