I had a nightmare with safelite when they replaced my windshield. Took FOREVER for them to get a OEM windshield. Took about 2 months. Then it took another month till they were able to allocate it for me. Finally got it installed and the guy putting it in scratched my fender with it. And he dug his knees into my passenger seat and now it has stretch marks on the leather..
Needless to say it was a horrible experience and I'll never recommend them to anyone.

Exact thing happened to me- got a rock chip in the black base of the windshield and the next day when I was going to get it fixed, it spread up and down about 7 inches total. I just let the windshield man drill a couple holes and fill it with resin and suck it out. It isn't near as noticeable, and it wont spread anymore!!

I had similar window incident about a month after I got my car. At least you get to go to Fest. No luck this year, soo close. Get it fixed and take a few runs down the strip, that usually solves any feelings of aggravation.

Took 5 days to get a shield with hud coating on it when mine got spider chipped 3 weeks ago.
