Wasn't expecting that. I thought it would have been a direct sibling to the big crossovers.

Yeah, Acadia's 193ish inches, Traverse is 204ish inches long. XT6 comes in at 198.

Not bad looking, as someone already said not bold enough for me. But the new BMW X5 fits the same plain bill IMO.

Could the Envoy be this vehicles sister?

There's no telling what the Envoy could be, it could end up being a Buick following their CUV naming scheme, could be a true 2nd gen Envoy as a BOF RWD/4WD SUV, could be a full size GMC crossover, could just be GM keeping the trademark active for some reason.

This has nice styling cues; As a whole it is hard for me to get excited about a cross-over, as most crossovers will look surprisingly familiar. Unfortunately I don't feel (from the photos) that Cadillac has gone far enough to render this new entry to the point that it is distinctive in appearance.
I long for the days of sharp, illustrious designs of the sedans of old. I will miss some of the better looking sedans of the recent past.

Probably the nicest SUV yet...53K sounds nice, but doubtful any of them will be even close to that price after adding some of the options.... The link shows quite a laundry list of driver assist and tech features....No mention of Super Cruise, though.... |

GM already confirmed SuperCruise on XT6.

The only problem I see here is the price. There are a handful of other luxury SUV's in the same segment that undercut this XT6 by a few thousand dollars. Lincoln, Audi, Lexus...

Well, if that's the case that SuperCruise has been confirmed for this XT6, I haven't seen it anywhere else. I think it will be the CT6 that gets it for 2020, not the XT6.
https://www.motortrend.com/news/2020...t-look-review/ The XT6 is practical. It doesn't try to make a broader statement for the brand. Work started before the XT4 was finished; the XT6 was developed with the full range in mind. Executives chose to name it XT6 instead of XT7 "because we don't see anything slotting between this and the XT5," Smith said. It does not replace the CT6 as the tech flagship—for one, it doesn't have Super Cruise, which provides hands-free driver assistance on the highway. Super Cruise will start rolling out across the Cadillac lineup in 2020—after the XT6 launch, newly minted Cadillac president Steve Carlisle said. |
