Camaro V6 Owner - New to the forum

Hey there folks, I'm Travis. So last summer I purchased my first car, my red Camaro V6 LS1 or 1LS. I always get confused on which one that is haha. But anyways, I got the car in Colorado and now I live in Sarasota, FL. I see a lot of Camaros here in Florida more so than I did in Colorado. I've had the car for about a year and a half and it only has 13K miles, (I had to drive it across country), and boy that was fun! But now I'm finally settling in here in Sarasota and I have a retail job as I pay off my car. I was also wondering if there is any cool mods I can get or install for my V6 Camaro. Any tips? Also, here are some pics

Plenty of mods can be done on your Camaro.

Check out my thread link with in my signature to show you some things you can do.

Keep in mind I have a 2010 (LLT engine) so some of my engine mods can not be done on your LFX. But many of the handling and cosmetic mods can be done for sure.

Hey thanks man, I will for sure take a look at that! So is that the model my car is called? The LFX? Because I'm still learning about Camaros, my dad has been a chevy guy his whole life and now I'm starting to be one as well. The salesman never really gave me the model of the car.

1ls or just ls is the best description for what type of camaro you have. Ls1 will confuse people because that is a motor type in previous chevrolets. Your motor is called an lfx it is very similar to the 2010-2011 camaros with some minor differences so when shopping for any type of motor mods make sure they are suitable for the lfx not the llt (the 2010-2011 camaro v6 motors) this is a great forum with very helpful people. You will learn more than you can ever imagine about camaros and meet some really great people at events of you go to them.

Hey Richard, thanks for the reply. I would like to go to events I just don't know any events around the area that I live at in Florida now. I'll try to do some research though

As mentioned the LFX is the engine code for your engine. The model you have is a 1LS.

You can look that information up in the WIKI at the top too.

Welcome from Nova Scotias Canada. I added the Hex vents to my hood, the hurst shifter and leather steering wheel with radio controls inside as well as the big gm spoiler on the rear deck

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
