The day I got my SS I drove to my friends body shop and added The SS emblems to the fenders. I then insulated the unibodys inner panels and now just added chrome GM wheels. This fall I'll get all season tires. That's it !
I waited over 2 years to order my summit white Camaro and love the job GM did designing this car.

Stock for now , although I'm pleased with the 2SS M6 performance.
I want to do HP increased modifications in the future.
I have to fix the daily driver first and save more money.

Uh, no, YOU own the car. Your down payment, good credit or co-signer has allowed that to happen.

The bank only has a lien. Its only theirs if you stop paying. In all other respects its yours to do with as you please. A lease is where THEY own the car. So mod away !!

Cool Stock

I am looking to buy a 2LT in two weeks. It will be left stock.

What so many people forget is the insurance ramifications of modifying a car. If you mess with anything relating to vehicle performance, you can easily invalidate your insurance, leaving you in a serious legal mess if you ever have an accident.

It's also the easiest thing in the world to invalidate your warranty by adding non-Chevy approved parts or workmanship to the car.

If the vehicle is leased or financed, expect the bank to frown upon modifications too.

Finally, if you trade your car for another one, expect a dealer to take a dim view of most mods. Expect to take a serious hit to the value unless you've done something exceptional to your car. For the most part you get to lose the money you spent on the mods and in addition, you also lose residual value too; a double hit.

I just think that generally, you have to consider these factors very seriously before you start messing with the car...

your not going to break your car... just mod it! chances are you'd keep it bone stock, blow the motor somehow, and GM would still say "we cant warranty this, its user abuse". LMAO, they are so ridiculous with warranty work, id rather pay less and fix stuff myself with better parts!

Mine staying the way it is, not even an exhaust, i like the sound and i dont need more than 312 hp for street and commute purposes. Mine will never see a track and from my own opinion if you're not gonna race than its just a waste of money to do performance mods. I believe that to do performance mods for street use is foolish because its useless unless you wanna get into street racing, which is illegal and dangerous and may cause your license to get suspended, high insurance rates etc...
Finally i love the car the way it is, perfect right out of the box.

My decision making process would have been easier if GM would have sold it to me without a warranty. I'd have supercharged it that same day.

leaving it stock except a few "light" cosmetics. nothing serious. mine is just for looks. im a 30 something professional with a camaro for a DD. so, looks is more important than speed. i like the 300+ HP the way it is.

If you take anything off that came on it, that automatically voids warranty, correct?

Mine is gonna stay stock for a while. At least until the warranty is (almost) up.
I do have the V6, but for all practical purposes that I'm using it for now, 312 hp is plenty. Eventually, when I'm (almost) out of school, and when they hopefully have V6 Superchargers out, I'll start to beef it up.
