Don't know about TX but in Ca you must report any collsion over $500 in property damage to DMV.
This is the form we use...
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/sr/sr1.pdf
In any case, the other driver you hit will report it to their insurance and yours will eventually find out about it.

Glad you're OK, you should do this through insurance as you hit another vehicle. You will have major legal issues if this gets nasty by the other party and you are best covering your a$$ so to speak.

The damages look much more than your min insurance excess payment.

Do it right, it's your health and your Camaro and a third party is involved!

just my 2c.

but if it doesn't get reported its like it never happened I have to wait until Monday in order to talk to a union Stewart for that situation

for me, company policy is any ticket or accident has to be reported to management within 24 hours. not reporting something is what they call a class I violation and calls for immediate suspension on first offense, (with option of termination depending on circumstances) and automatic termination on second offense within 12 month period.

what would get me in trouble would be if somehow they found out, ie the cops or insurance later got involved. I don't think they would find out, but I'd be up shits creek if they did. far safer for me just just to report it.

It's always difficult to look at damage like that of your Camaro but the most important thing is to walk out alive.
