Your car is worth book value no matter how much the dealer wants to mark it up.
KBB and NADA are close enough that you'll know your ball park but ask your specific financial institution which they use, most use NADA.
Mods are worthless. A bank or credit union will not loan more for mods and they will value the vehicle at book no matter how many mods have been added.

The car, or anything for that matter, is worth what the public is WILLING to spend. Bluebook is ONLY a rough starting point. It's like an auction. If you have the right buyers, the price goes up. Marketing and condition are EVERYTHING. Convertibles will bring more in the spring and summer. And if a car shines with lots of curb appeal, blue book means nothing. Good pictures and the RIGHT advertising vehicle are critical to finding the right audience. If the car is every bit as good as it looks, a seller should be fighting bidders off. It's a V8, not the more common 6 cylinder. Low mileage to boot.

True to a fault. Not a lot of people have 25 grand playing cash to throw on a car so they're gonna take a loan. Banks go by books.

I would say OP should be trying to sell to a private party. Sure, it takes some leg work, but there's more capital potential

yea $20k is way to low for a RS/SS convertible in what looks like excellent shape. that color combo is really sharp... like the '69 pace car.

I was thinking $25-$30k easily

I would say because it's a 2SS convertible with low miles, $25k. If it was a 2SS with a moderately average amount of miles for a 2012 (about 30,000 - 45,000) it would be closer to $20k as others have quoted. Generally, any options on a car don't increase its value (eg: rims, vinyl graphics, ground effects, etc) but convertibles have inherently higher value since the "base" car is different from a hardtop. It's basically considered its own trim.

Then, they will turn around and try to sell this for $27k - $32k depending on how greedy they are.

20K to 23K seems about right. The car is a 2011. It is near the end of the 5 year warranty if not over it. (You could buy a 2011 in the year 2010) I sold my 2010 ss2 coupe (bought in 2009) for 26K in 2012. (4 years ago) The car had 12,000 miles and a little over 3 years old. I got a whole 2K over a car with normal miles. I swore I would drive my next car which I did.

These cars are just cars. They are not collectable and will loose value. MAYBE one day they will increase but now just drive and enjoy.

Letting a depreciating asset sit is crazy. Drive that sucker. My Z06 is 45 days old and has 2,000 miles on it. So many people never drive these cars. I just do not get it. The driving is the best part.

For even the 2SS, definitely. That's why if you're smart you'd trade in for a ZL1 soon and keep it in the garage. Those will appreciate and be considered collectable. They are approaching rock bottom prices in the mid / upper 30's now. I plan on trying to find a 2013 ZL1 with about 20k miles and paying $12 - 15k or so on the difference from my 2011 2SS with 45k miles. Before I do that, I'm putting my stock wheels back on which have shot tires though. :P

True if you have cash on hand and you're a fool.
Most don't.

Banks loan on book value.

Sorry, but buying a mass produced vehicle as an investment, which isn't already a bonafide classic, is speculation & a fool's game.

I'm a dealer and I'd ask 25 or 26k for it so private sale if you ask $24k with the warranty you should get some attention

$20-$25k depending on the area. Used ZL1s I my area with 30k and less miles are pulling $30-$38k depending on condition. I passed on a used 2013 black on black ZL1 vert A6, 23k miles because of a headers and a tune. The car was priced at $35k, very clean, clear title it was local looked super nice.
