Tpms relearn tool or cost

Anyone locally to Burlington have a relearn tool for the tire sensors? After reinstalling my zl1 wheels the tpms light came on. Apparently you need to tool for this. I was hoping the computer would remember them. My wife's challenger did. Didn't really want to spend at least $100 for a tool that I will use maybe once a year.

In my 2010 you can reset the tpms sensor through the dash menu. It will beep once then it front left take some air out till it beeps again, front right , rear right and last rear left. Then once its all done it will beep twice.

Don't think you need a tool just move the menu to the pressure setting and hold the rest until your horn honks and tells you to move along on each tire mine worked like that there are a few videos on you tube also

Apparently that doesn't work on 2012 and later models. Mine being a 2014. I tried it multiple times and just about let all the air out of drivers front tire with no horn honks lol. Then I did more research to find that gm changed the relearn and a tool is now required. Must be a money scam lol. Thanks for your replies though

My 2012 the relearn procedure was just like stated above...you need to either increase or decrease the pressure a certain amount i think by 15psi? However if the wheels were off your car for a long time maybe the internal battery on the tpms isnt charged up? It took my car about 100km's once before the tpms relearned itself. Im guessing the sensors charge up on there own as the wheel spins.

Yup. My 2012 worked with the above procedure, too. That being said, it's a 12/2011 production, though.

I just got new wheels for my 2013 and the seller said, "I shouldn't need" the relearn tool. But then they sent me this attachment and told me if I do need it, to follow the instructions. I'm certainly going to try all of the above before buying this tool, including charging the new sensors simply by driving my car.

I tried multiple times and after driving many kms. I ended up buying the tool, well my wife bought it for me for Father's Day . Best 100$ she spent lol. Took me longer to find a 9v battery for it then it took me to relearn the sensors with the tool. Figured I'm gonna use it twice a year so might as well buy it.
