oil leak

So today after having my car pakred for over 2 weeks, I found some oil on the floor in the garage. It was fresh. I did a oil change back in october and had some oil spilled out. Right after the oil change, i parked my car for almost 4 months and i did find some oil then which i expected. I cleaned as much as i could from the car. I have driven the car a few times after that oil change. You guys think that oil i found today is from what i spilled or a leak??? I do have a catch can but there is no oil near where the small hose to drain sits on the engine bay and i had double check to make sure the drain valve is closed all the way.

Any ideas??? I mean it wasnt much oil but still idk what it could be

Well i just moved the car today to a different spot and three hrs later there is another small drop on the floor. But now i am thinking it might be the catch can leaking because the drop is right under it and there is a small oil on the tube.. i have double checked the valve and it wont turn anymore so i know its closed.. maybe defective catch can???

I just took mine in today to the dealer for service and they said I have a small oil leak, too. I don't have any drips on the floor, though. They aren't sure exactly where it is, I am going to tale it in later this week for them to look further.

These oil leaks sound similar to the one I had....it was a pinched O ring on the return line from the oil cooler....Dealer made short work of it and no more leak.

how exactly did you point out where the leak was coming from?? my leak is somewhere on the driver's side of the engine. if you look at the engine standing in front of the car and on the driver's side, it looks like the oil is dripping right under the connecting arm to the wheel (idk what it called). like right under the black rubber thing that looks like is compressed.

That would be oil cooler vicinity... lots of cars have had this problem.

well, maybe i am not along after all. I am hearing the same. lots of V6s with oil leaks. the weird thing is that my car has less than 2000 miles.. I guess I have to take it to the dealership. They will be able to find the leak right?? I just want to make sure it is not my catch can or any of my mods so the dealer doesnt charge me for service for it being my mods.

I had an oil leak too and it turned out to be the O ring on the oil filter lid. Check that first its an easy fix.

what is this with all the oil leaks on camaros.. my 2012 2ss had an oil leak at 500 miles.. brought to dealer, after few days still have a leak.. brought it in again today but they cant see where its coming from.. mine is leaking by the differential.. and I thought GM has learned quality.. I might be wrong
