Guys, I have a 2017 2SS Fifty Vert. with all of the goodies on it. I have the opportunity to get into a 2018 ZL1 coupe for $25 and my car out the door. My car has 1670 miles on it. Looking for some help making that decision?

They want $25,000 which includes all tax and fees. The ZL1 is listed at around $62

Unless yours is paid for I don’t see it being that great a deal. Unless you just want to get into a ZL1.

I haven’t checked for awhile, but my guess is your FIFTY is worth between 40- 45k right now. Add 25k to that and you get 200 hp, a cool grill and hood, not to mention more shade on your head... your total 40+25 = more than the sticker price of the ZL1...
Or the reverse....figure you can buy the 18 ZL1 for 57k... that gives your FIFTY a value of 32k....
I love my FIFTY vert, but I might get my arm twisted to trade for a 18 garnet red ZL1 vert.... and pay out of pocket ...
But verts add 4K to the value....
I would advertise my FIFTY and get what it’s worth....

I recently was looking at a similar deal on a trade for a ZL1. I think the difference is fair...however, I have a hard time spending that much more for 200hp. Now if you are contemplating modding your 50 considerably, it might make more sense to purchase the ZL1 since it comes with upgraded options.

For me it’s not worth it to go from the 50th to the ZL1. But that’s just me.

I just checked Edmunds...I couldn’t find the 50th option, but still yours in outstanding condition is still worth 45k in my zip code... then add for the 50 option... trade in is less but geez...
The dealer would love to get your rare car.... 717 A8 and only 158 M6 were sold in the USA.....

Didn’t realize verts were commanding a price that high still. I know my coupe, which is an M6 and loaded, is just barely over 35k.

Most dealerships don’t treat editions like this different. It’s just another 2SS to them. Some do treat it different but most don’t. And I know this from seeing friends trade 45ths, seeing Hot Wheels and transformer editions traded/sold, etc.

Ultimately Cchief has to decide is the ZL1 worth the extra cost and ditching of the 50th.

For me the SS is plenty. I will do some engine mods eventually. But it’s all I want/need plus I’m partial to the edition (if no one could tell lol).

But to each their own. And at least it’s another Camaro and not a rustang.
