Committed the sin of sins
Well it is time to eat my words and this does not come easy. Since the gen 6 Camaro has come out I have been outspoken about not liking the new ones. I have said things like, "they ruined the car, it's too small, no gills on the side, the 5 has better body lines, I'll never buy a new one," and many others.
I made the mistake the other day after getting my oil changed and went on the showroom floor. That's when it happened and I felt something strange inside, "like no way this is a new Camaro". Then like God himself came down and tapped me on the shoulder and said, "ask the salesman for the key to open it". Yea, like opening Pandora's box, right thru the heart, "BOOM! I fell in love! Never thought I would take the plunge on new car again after saying I would keep the Z/28 forever. Just goes to show, even at 70, "never say, never again". Soooooo here is what I did...…., it's a 19'. Let me know what my penance is for this.

I had same disdain for the 6th gens when they first came out. And I really disliked what they had done to the front end of the ZL1. It looked more Lexus like than it did a Camaro. Then I saw one in person and 8 hrs later it was sitting in my garage.
The ride, handling, power and all the amenities like blind spot sensor, climate control, memory seats, etc. make the 6th gen a major upgrade from the 5th gen. Congrats on the new ride. I guarantee you'll really enjoy the new car. Initially I wasn't a fan of the redesigned backend. But I've got to admit it's starting to grow on me.

I’m 58 and don’t give A rats ass what some kid thinks of my choice. (Or anyone)
Your penance is to enjoy the car!

Congrats on the new Hot rod!
I wasn’t looking to upgrade either, I loved my 5th gen RS SS, and had no desire to sell it..... But when I saw the new ZL1, that was it, ordered it and never looked back. I still can’t believe how amazing this thing is. And the tail lights are great, pics are one thing, seeing them in person is completely different, pics don’t show the 3-D aspect of the lights. Great purchase, enjoy the ride!

Congrats. Do what you like. My Dad is 70, my wife and I went with him last month to pick up his new toy. He bought himself a 2015 BMW Z4. People forget a lot of times this game has no reset when you reach the end. Get what you can while you can.
