I agree Camaro is the better car . I respect Ford for starting and sticking with it. I was referring to Chrysler going fwd with the charger.

I had a 2018 GT Premium with MagneRide, PP1, and A10. It was a great car, but sold it after acquiring my '21 ZL1 1.5 years ago and haven't looked back. I also have a '22 Supra 3.0 on the way, so no Mustang is likely in my near or mid-term future. The Dark Horse will be near ZL1 money, for Mach 1 performance. No thanks.

That said, if God forbid something happens to my ZL1 and I couldn't get another new or low mileage 21+ ZL1, my first choice to replace it would be a 22 GT500 since I have kids, or potentially a '19 Z06 (if its in the near future and they aren't too old by then) but then I'd need a daily that fits my kids. If that isn't an option, then I'd consider the S650 Shelby variant in the future assuming the price is reasonable.

That said, replacing my ZL1 with a Mustang, unless it's a S550 GT500, would be a major downgrade, no matter the trim. I think I would broaden my search to other similarly priced performance cars (new and low mileage used) before settling for a S650 Mustang GT or Dark Horse.

Yeah the first was a rebodied Falcon

The Rustang 2 was rebodied Pinto

What a glorious history

I remember the first Mustang commercials from when I was a kid

The stampeding ponies and the blurb Mustang is coming or something like that

I bought a 1965 Mustang 6cyl when I was 14 for $250.00 and flipped it for $500.00

A bunch of months of shoveling driveways and mowing lawns and cleaning the local grocery store lot and floors got me $600.00 more

I wanted a 68 Pontiac Beaumont SD 396 and needed $1100 I bought it but my parents made me resell it.... my father said I would kill myself

I can laugh now but I was one bummed out 15-year-old

So that's my Mustang story

In 03 or 04 I got a 02 Camaro v6 manual for $12k ,had about 12 k miles on it. I had it about 6 months and I drove a 02 mustang 4.6 manual. The car was like new ,but drove awful. The Camaro v6 was better in every way except maybe durability. I think both have gotten a lot better. No doubt the 3.8 was excellent.

Having a logo is better than mashing a slew of numbers and letters together like chevy has been doing. 1lt,lt1,zl1,zl1 1le etc. Women drive cars too so I can't blame Ford for appealing to them also.

If a name/logo bothers you that much you might have some underlying issues.

Seems 102SS is also a member of the fully approved ZFG club

Not sure what the future holds, but I will not buy a Mustang either.

A thousand people - a thousand tastes.
Whoever likes it, I respect their opinion
If someone close to me buys it and is happy with it,
I will be happy that he is happy.

But for me it's a disaste

The exterior...well...maybe
But that didn't impress me either.
And the interior is already an electric car

And even after Tesla's example.
I just take a large display, throw it on the dashboard without the slightest idea of tasteful implantation and go home.

Definitely not for me.
The Mustangs I would buy... so they were made long before I was born.

Would 1 million percent rather slap an LT2 intake, tune and headers on a 6th gen and absolutely wax this Mustang on the track
