My headers are toast!

Well this couldn't have happened at a worse time, I am expecting to order my LOD intake any day now, and I am driving home and hear this clunking. I looked underneath the car first, then popped the hood to find my 1 7/8 TSP header like this. I have had them for over 3 years, maybe this is just life telling me to get the 2" to facilitate the end product overall huh? Did not see this comin..

Wow........have you contacted tsp about it? That seems like it would be a very rare issue....they might even help you out on a price with 2". Never hurts to ask.

Man, I would definitely contact TSP. That failed at the weld.

Hopefully that's just one-off, as I am always singing the praises of my TSP headers.

I think you might have an exhaust leak.

Serious note, TSP seems like a pretty stand up company. I would definitely reach out to them. This did fail at a weld and that usually has some leverage.

5 years on my stainless works...

Been off and on several times. I’d call TSP - see what they say...

Reaper, InFiD3ViL, CamaroDreams

I haven't contacted TSP, I actually don't have an invoice for it, I probably deleted the email since I bought them a few years back (mistake). I feel like I have little ground to stand on there. I am going to see if I have any bank statements that old though.

Gsxrturbo,

I looked over the wires too, and thankfully only the heat shrink got cooked, the wires are still good.

Ron,

Yeah you can see where the weld was, and when it separated the rest of the pipe came out along with it. I noticed the loud clunking sound immediately after accelerating a little hard, and went straight home, which was about 10 minutes.

Zz430,

I am going with the 2" and having them ceramic coated by a local shop, I've already got that move decided. Just need to decide on which brand.

Shouldn't matter, typically reputable vendors like them should have them on file under your phone number, email, name. Things like that. Just a heads up

As with all performance parts there is a 2 part warranty or a 30/30 warranty. 1st warranty means if it breaks you get to keep both parts, the second is 30 second or 30 feet whichever comes first. LOL
You may get some assistance on reduced pricing for a new set, or an offer to repair, but my experience has always been when you buy performance parts ther is no warranty.
