Are your headers the lowest part of your car?

I’m nervous to lower my car as risk of hitting headers. How low can you go?

It really depends on the road/driving surface. Mine isn't lowered but I have scraped my off-road connectors on some stupidly high speed bumps!

I was washing the car and looked under from the front and noticed the headers were low and didn’t have any protection. Maybe an inch lower than the crossmember I think

Yeah. The collector area is my lowest point. I have only scraped the really high speed bumps though.

I have the SP headers on my Camaro since 2012 and they are tucked up nice and tight to the floor and tranny tunnel. Lowest part might be my front suspension cradle. I am lowered 1.25 all the way around.

I'm lowered 1" and scrape on sloped driveways unless I go in at an angle. I try to avoid speed bumps.

Wow that’s significant Bo, what brand? Do they hit? Is your car lowered?

Smacked a teen into the roof going over a speed bump a little fast at a high school picking up a grand kid..( granddaughter wanted to give some boy a ride home)…..that caused the headers collector no harm but moved the double clamp some and made it louder telling me it happened and I had to move it back forward to cover the gap... And I am not lowered, I figure its pretty low as it is, if I wanted lower I would be in a Vette. I can still fit someone in back...… and that's the deal for daily.....
