Fuel Pump or Tuner Issues

I have a 2013 ZL1, got the aux pump and flex fuel sensor kit from SMG. Installed the pump and flex fuel sensor no issues. Took it to my tuner that got the license to tune the fscm but every single time we hit ~4800-5k rpms the computer cuts fuel causing my AFR to lean out. It'll go from 65psi straight down to 35psi on the pump. My tuner says its the pump, when i contacted SMG they said its the tuner. The reason SMG says its the tuner is because its consistent at the rpms and the graph shows an immediate fuel cut off, not a slow pump fail of it not being able to keep up. So im stuck between a rock and a hard place, either its the pump or the tuner. I hate to say tuner because I have a long standing relationship of him tuning my last 4 cars with ZERO issues. Any help, suggestions, or guidance would be appreciated.

I know some people have mixed feelings about SMG, this is my first possible issue with them IF it is the pump.

Has your tuner ever tuned an aux pump in a 5th gen? Things in the tune need to be adjusted to prevent the fscm from trying to drop pressure once the aux kicks in, and also allow the higher pressure you desire. Need to look at the max desired pressure, the flow vs pressure tables, and the min duty cycle at a minimum.

Yeah it's in the tune. These 5gen fpcm set ups are a pain and don't make a ton of sense until you've done a couple. These aux pumps don't exactly work with the fpcm very well until they are tuned for it. Have your tuner contact SMG and they'll get it figured out.

Seems to be a common theme with these aux pump guys. Tell your tuner he needs to tune the fpcm to make it work.
