My understanding from talking to members of the press who have had the opportunity to ask questions is

• cars and pickups are not included
• existing engines and transmissions are on the table
• new engines and transmissions and new technologies for them are on the table
• economies of scale through purchasing and combined logistics are on the table

So, working together Honda and GM can co-ordinate which ICE models to unnecessarily discontinue in order to promote their self-declared all electric and "accident free" (meaning self-driving only) future. Read the pdf statements of Reuss and the Honda chief to see the real goal. PC environmental hooey with no real demand for all electric. (Until they artificially eliminate ICE engines to create the new "demand" of the future)...

GM will likely commit suicide in order to promote the future, but at this point, who gives a damn anyhow.

Makes sense. GM (and Honda) are out front in terms of Fuel Cell system development. GM is already working on fuel cell powered military field vehicles based on the Colorado / Canyon. Building Nikola Badger, especially if based off the same platform as the Hummer EV, should be a walk in the park and a great way to thin investment costs. They can also use Nikola Badger (and other models) to register more Zero Emissions credits.

Seems like a win-win for both companies. GM gets a stake in an up-and-coming EV manufacturer and an outlet to install its Ultium batteries and Hydrotec fuel cells in, Nikola gets a massive and experienced manufacturer for the Badger and doesn't have to spend money trying to engineer and build it themselves.

Is there any speculation as to when Cadillac is going to do the full reveal of the CT4 and CT5 Blackwings? I remember seeing a fall timeline before (or it might have been summer) and was curious if anyone had any info on that. Apologies if this has been discussed earlier in the thread.

Nothing official besides availability by summer 2021.

Hummer's Celebrity Spokesperson will have a lot of performance features to get familiar with. GM will spend around $5-6 million for a Super Bowl ad, plus likely a fortune to LeBron James for his fee....(Interesting Camaro can't rub two nickels together for advertising).....but Camaro is not the future GM imagines...
