Anybody else's iPhone go crazy?
Just wondering am I the only one that got 20 emails (not exaggerating) from the website because it automatically subscribes you to every thread that you post in?

Just changed the settings in the User CP

Yup did the same was jut wondering if it was a mess up in the sign up process or what. Maybe Tran should look into making now auto subscribe you to a thread by default

I think that's the default for all forums created with VBulletin or whatever it is...

Almost every forum does that. You just need to know how to turn them off.
It is a pain though.

Did Camaro5 do that when you signed up? I don't recall ever turning them off but I do subscribe to threads and get instant email notifications for some

That was such a long time ago that I honestly don't remember. I don't think it did, though. Maybe Tran had it set up to where it wouldn't do that right off the bat.

I was lurking in 2009, then joined in 2010.
We'll be able to talk about this site like this one day.

To fix this, go to your user CP, and then to Edit Options... In the settings and options category...
In the Messaging and notification, the second box down is the Default thread subscription drop down tab. Click on that and determine how and for what you would like to be notified... Then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and save changes... |
