Huron Speed T4 Install WalkThrough
Guys, I will be updating this thread with step-by-step instructions on the INSTALLATION of the Huron Speed T4 kit. I had everything removed off the car prior to this for other projects, so just flip the install for the removal.
I will not be adding text, for the most part, until I have everything wrapped up in the next week or so; meanwhile, I'll post what I have just for visual reference.

Make sure to get the plugs and wires in on the driver side before everything else is buttoned up. Once manifold and downpipe with turbo are in driver side front plugs are basically impossible to reach

Installing the plugs before installation of the manifold will save you a headache and 15~20 minutes. There is sufficient room on the driver side so you don't have to struggle too bad to get the bolts/gaskets lined up and started. Passenger side plugs were VERY easy due to them facing the firewall and there is no plumbing in the area now- hands free. I DO recommend having someone hold the manifold and gasket in place until you get a couple bolts started. I haven't got to it yet, but on the passenger side by the fuel supply lines, there's a stud that a 10mm nut holds the factory heat shield down- use bolt cutters to remove a 1/4" or so and that allows more than plenty room to slide the passenger side in. I'll have all that laid out later on.

Looks like a nice kit.
Thread tape is not needed with AN fittings. I might use stainless cable ties instead of plastic zip ties. Not sure how much heat they can take. Do you have a backing nut for the fitting going through the pan or is it just held in by gasket maker? |

Plastic zip ties were used to simply hold things in place. Any components that are on a direct heat source received 14" DEI metal mechanic ties that I trimmed to fit. You should be able to see them on the header wrap, etc. No backing nut needed. I drilled a 3/4" hole and tapped (threaded) the pan with it off the car using the required 1/2" NPT tap. I used thread tape and black RTV on the threads. I tightened it with a socket to the point that it was nice and secured. I applied additional RTV on the backside to add an additional seal. The line was tightened with the pan off to the point it was nice and secured and fitting didn't spin. The location I decided to place the return line differed from the recommended site. I had my pan off, filled it with 2 gallons (8 quarts) of water, and drilled there. My line will never be equal or submerged in oil inside the pan, unless I am parking on an embankment and maybe an extreme decline, as I am several inches ABOVE the max capacity for oil. There will be zero backpressure from oil levels causing any issues. My return will be free flowing and not exposed to typical oil levels. Also, the location of my fitting works with the oil cooler in place; however, since then, I have deleted the oil cooler for personal reasons and installed a 1/8th NPT block-off plate above the oil filter- cleaned things up and shed some weight.

What did you do to tap for vacuum lines. Did you use a vacuum line block?
Do you plan to use a boost controller? or run off the gate spring? |

Grimmspeed MBC- won't find a better one out there. I've used them on 2 other applications. I will run the 7psi spring and then adjust with my MBC. The grimmspeed allows a wider range of tuning and should be able to increase over x2 the WG spring- but 14 psi on my setup is going to be more than the stock bottom end can take. I plan on being around 11-12psi and making 700rwhp.

Elite Engineering E2-X Dual Valve Catch Can
I remote mounted this guy in the best spot I could find. I actually think no one has come up with this spot before. I need to find a metal nut/washer to hold the bracket to the firewall other than the plastic piece that comes stock. Everything I had was the wrong pitch. It holds firm, BUT.... I'd feel better with metal to metal. Still gotta run the 2nd valve line on the backside (3 total lines) and the air-oil separator line. Still waiting on turbo to get here.

3 week turbo turnaround time kinda blew finishing date out of the water... With that being said, I received tracking info and turbo is supposed to be here Saturday. No local dynos/tuners are available either because of the holiday or personal requests. Sounds about right.... Lol. I'm ready to drive it!

I guess you could say that. ;-) I ordered an 8380 and it had to be made. I think the 7875s are stocked pretty regularly due to high demand. As far as everything else, 3 days sounds pretty close to when I received it. Jon does a great job.
