Car pushes left on hard acceleration
Hey all,
Car pushes left under hard acceleration if left unchecked... like middle lane to left lane if left unchecked going from 60-90. Car has: Pegasus Solid Cradle Bushings Z-28 Rear Upper Outer Control Arm Bushings BMR TR003 Adjustable Toe Rods BMR Extreme Anti-Roll Bar Carlyle LCA and TAs (from their 15" Conversion Kit) Justice Pete's Aggressive Street alignment Tire pressures equal side to side Thanks

Do you have aftermarket front wheels? With say a big change in tire width, or offset? If so, read about scrub radius. What it can cause during acceleration and deceleration when you change it. If not, the first place i would look is at the front radius arms.

THX. Stock front wheels and same tires. It does not do it on deceleration, that I have noticed.
I will put checking the radius arms on my list.

So no problems before the cam install? Just a cam install?
Did you put in the cam?

Under hard acceleration, the thrust angle is changing, causing the rear wheel(s)
to steer the car. That is usually a radius arm; bad bushing(s). Could be LCAs, but yours are new? IF they are adjustable, are both sides equal? If the cradle shifts under hard acceleration, that also changes the thrust angle. Take the car in for an alignment, they can correct the thrust angle if they know how. I think it happening after the CAM install was a coincidence, or the torque shift exposed it. |

Also make sure the rear springs are seated in the pockets. Had one slip to the side after jacking the car up and do the exact same thing.
