Zl1 sway bar upgrade
Ok so I have searched and searched and still can't seem to find my answer and which bar set up to run.
I'm looking to change my Zl1 F/R sway bars to an adjustable bar. I have read that guys run the Hotchkis 22118F on the front and BMR SB054 on the rear both using SPL links. The question I have which I cant seem to find, and the answers I do find are all over the place. What are the spec between the stock FE4 bars which is the ZL1/SS1le to the ZL1 1le bars? Also why aren't guy using the front and rear Hotchkis 22118 kit which it has the F/R. My goal is to match the FEA stiffness or better yet have a little more stiffness that I can adjust. |

Im following this discussion now.
I've been planning on adding the BMR nonadjustable rear bar on my car, it's marked at +125% but doesn't state bar diameter and I don't know the stock diameter right now. My driving style is that I prefer oversteer and this ZL1 feels like it understeers more than I like. |

There are some really good threads on sway bars here on the form, but you have to dig. Try a search for "sway bar upgrade" and most pop up.
The go to for out cars is the Hotchkis front and BMR rear because their stiffness in relation to the stock bars is very very close, meaning 30/60/90% over stock equally front and back. (I just threw those numbers out) End links are also important as is setting them up when installing them. Ken

I've questioned which is 125% over stock, big question there...ZL1? 1LE? SS?
I'm looking at the BMR nonadjustable SB051 |

Does anyone know how the ZLE front and rear compare to standard Zl1? I am keen to investigate if there is any benefit to upgrade from ZLE to aftermarket thx

They are smaller...... (I don't know exactly how much, it's in a few threads here)
