We can get them powder coated for you but we don't have anyone who does chrome work. They do have some chrome colored powder coat but it more or less looks like a good polish job rather then actual chrome.

Doesn’t chrome retain heat?

That’s what I always thought. I would paint or powder coat it. I would stay away from getting it dipped in chrome.

You can get the Whipple in chrome and a couple others also. Don't think I will powder coat it. Any vendors here want to chime in?

Rethinking maybe what I have seen is polished, not chrome.

Aluminum does hold chrome well, the expansion and contraction of aluminum vs chrome is great. Also the potential of getting any chrome in the engine would be bad.

My Polished Whipple....it's an extra 800 bucks, and is alot of work.
I Ceramic coated mine and used a topper, but it still tarnishes...so you have to polish it to keep it shining!

I drooled all over your pic of that engine. It's looks fantastic and I can only imagine how good it runs.

Thanks...
If I had the money to do it all over again, the only thing I'd change would be to do this sooner.
The Whipple has just been Fantastic!

Intimidator, your engine bay is bloody beautiful (first time I have ever strung those words together)!

Please help a guy out who just started a ZL1 journey... where did you source the carbon fibre components?

Thanks
