Change of plans
I bought a black, 2SS/RS last week but backed out of the sale because I couldn't stomach the inferno orange interior (sorry you guys with that setup)....but bought this 2010 2SS/RS, 6 speed today with 3100 miles on it. GM certified also
The red is pretty bright and it'll take some getting used to (black interior) but I got a decent deal. New spoiler, splitter, decals and lowering kit coming up. |

These pics are a very good example of what is probably my only serious remaining dislike about the Camaro (the rest has grown on me!). From any angle, in any light, the rear quarter panel looks like a different color... especially at the door. Noticeable to me on every color Camaro I've seen except white. It may well be a shadow/trick of the eye caused by the hips, but it would keep me from buying one.
Congrats on the new ride! |

Congrats! I liked Inferno Orange interior (first 2010 that I test drove had it) but I don't think it would be something I would have bought. Very happy with my black interior

Congrats! IOM interior isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I do think it looks great on IOM cars.

I kind of like the orange interior but no way I could live with it. Actually I like the leather seat color. It's that plastic orange trim in the doors and dash I didn't like. I've had enough black cars anyway so it's time to add some color to my life. I was kind of nervous about a bright red car being too flashy but got thinking, I drive an electric blue dodge ram sport with chrome grill, running boards and wheels, that's kind of flashy...lol
Lurker, the red is the same on every part of the car. It's just shadows and the angle of reflection. Anyway, it's a sharp a car. |

My '88 IROC had red interior and I was fine with that. To each their own. We all have different tastes.

Actually I had a big grin yesterday. I test drove a USED 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T that was nearby. These are nice cars and I've been dying to drive one. A little big but VERY comfortable. Plenty of power, solid car and the manual shifts very nice. Real nice sound too. I had a grin all the way home after driving it. Anyway, something about the car was very familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it until last night. It brought back memories of my buddy and I in high school in his 1970 'Cuda (we got out of school in 1980). The Challenger layout is very similar. Brought back many good memories. I was definitely considering buying it but didn't like the "exterior appearance package" which is a stripe which I liked, a wing which I did not like and a fake huge hood scoop (what's the point?). The car was at a Mercedes dealer which was odd and I know I could have got a great deal on it. Used R/T's with a 6 speed are scarce around here. Maybe I'll consider one in the next generation (if there is one) but the SS will do just fine for now. |

That's a pretty Challenger too! But love the Camaro in red, you won't find too many people who dislike red
