Super hyped about the news on 2ss 1le.
When can we be able to place the order ?
FYI I was looking to trade in my 13 2SS for a 171le.
If the wait is too long for the 2SS 1le I might pull the trigger on 1SS 1le.

You input would help me make a decision.

Depends on if the rumor of late availability on the 2SS 1LE is true, if not then you will be able to order by the end of the month. If it's true then it could be a WHILE like it was last year for us, I wasn't able to actually order my 17' 1LE until September.

the 1LE option is available on the build and price website for a 2SS. Noted as 1LE Track Pack - V8 Suspension Handling Package. this can also be ordered from the dealership as a stand alone kit for $1500.

It's not the full 1LE package. It's just the suspension upgrade.

It'll be available on 2018 models. but for 2017's you can get the 1le suspension kit installed on the regular SS.

I spoke to my local dealer and he said he can place 2018s order by end of this month. Fingers crossed

I hope chevy doesn't delay the 1le package on 2ss like they did for the 1ss last year....

and I am assuming the 1le package will be less expensive to add on 2SS than 1SS since HUD and many other features are standard on 2SS already.

So fingers crossed. hope the 1le 2ss wont go past 50k mark. That would be a bummer !

My guess is that it will be the same price and thus just have a higher margin for GM.

I saw a few websites speculating Chevy was going to bump the HP up to 480hp for V8's 2018 model.. any word on this?

I'm gonna say this is complete BS. A 25hp bump isn't insignificant and would have dropped already if true. I wouldn't expect a jump in hp until a mid cycle refreash or until after the mustang refreash drops.

As for availability I'm thinking if they say late 18 availability, I wouldn't expect it until fall for ordering to open.

They'd have bumped the C7 hp already if this was gonna happen

If they add a 2SS option for 2018, it is very likely you will only be able to order in September. The 5th Gen 1LE only came available to order in September of 2012, the 6th Gen September 2016.

Would be smart to make it available for order ASAP(if its going to happen), but its a good idea to prepare for the worst instead of getting too excited for earlier release.
