2014 2SS/RS Dyno numbers

Anyone else have numbers like these from their SS w/automatic? Am I reading the numbers wrong as it appears I'm not getting advertised 400hp?

400 is crank HP. Wheel Hp will always be less at the wheels because of drive train losses.

The percentage loss numbers on this forum vary. Mostly I've see 14-15% for M6 and 17-19% for A6. So, those are probably at least in the ballpark.

Thanks for the responses. I had the car in SS mode and was using the paddle shifters for the tests. These were measured based on 4th gear at max RPM of 6K. If I account for loss, it comes out to 396hp. I was hoping for slightly higher numbers since I swapped out the exhaust and cold intake.

All dynos vary as well as different ambient conditions. 315-330rwhp is the average for a L99. You are on the low side but could make 327whp on a different dyno on a different day.

Also, I'm assuming that wasn't a Dyno. Looks like more likely software that is predicting hp and tq. Those aren't the most accurate, but give you a ball park number, and you're in the ballpark.

A Dyno, whether an actual dyno or a virtual one, is just a tool. The real value to it is measuring after versus before a change. Did you do any baseline runs before installing new parts?

It was a real dyno. The dyno was called something like Mustang. They even let me run my car on it instead of them controlling the RPMs and gears.

Unfortunately, I didn't create a baseline before the mods. That was stupid of me which I realized after the fact.

Mustang always read low, especially compared to a DynoJet.

Catback exhaust and cold air rarely see much of a power increase.

All I know is that it seems so many cars now have more HP (and beat me to the next light) driving this 7 year old 'muscle car.' Whether it's an Audi, Infinity, Mustang, Challenger, Charger, etc. it's enough to drive a man to mod his car and start down that money pit!
