What does this security icon/symbol look like and what section of the dash is it located in?

See these two vids for EZ way to access and check cam sensor. Minimal ez things to remove to access the sensor and all you need is a cheap $15 multi meter to test it or just go replace it.

Thanks Sleeper, missed that one, but I'm betting they will have some deals around Cyber Monday.

I just went out and tried to start my car. I turned the key and the security icon came on then as the engine turned over the icon went out. The car seemed to start, however when I let off of the key, my car died. I guess that is a better way to discribe my situation. If I keep the key turned on for along time, seemingly too long, the engine stays running. All other cars I have had in my 47 years of driving, once you hear the engine fire, you let go of the key. Not this car. If I want it to stay running, I must keep the starter engaged, even as the engine is running, which seems wrong. I mean like for 4 seconds!

Sounds like the ignition switch might be failing.

Now that's important information. Sounds like a possible intermittently bad ignition switch. If your scanner will read ignition 1 voltage watch that and see if it's less than battery voltage when the problem happens.

You mean the ignition switch, as in inside of the steering column ignition switch? My scanner won't read that voltage info, at least as much as I know. Anyway, doesnt the battery voltage go down on all cars as they are being cranked over ? I obviously am in over my head!
