HELP CODE P0601

Can somebody please help my car will start for less than a minute then cut off with the message on the dash saying “engine power reduced” once the message pops up the car won’t even crank up anymore but all the light and everything work when the car is in the on position… if I delete the code with my scanning tool the car will start up again and then shut off while idling and the message will pop up again… I tried replacing the battery so I know that’s not problem

It could be electrical like chewed wires, etc.
Any codes before the 0601 recently?

Nope no other codes my car was involved in a front end crash but it wasnt bad just replaced the bumper and nothing inside the engine bay or anything was damaged it would start up days after the crash then one day i went to go start it and it wouldn’t crank at all but all the lights would function with the engine power reduced message on the dash so I seen a lot of people say try your battery so I replaced that and that wasn’t the problem.. sometimes the car will start and then die in about less than a minute and other times it won’t crank on at all

Nope nothing plugged into the port.. the car is tuned but I have had no problems with it before prior to this.. although I did let the battery die I’m wondering if maybe some how my tune was wiped off my ecu for some reason?

45 might know if the ECM can be flashed.
Otherwise it sounds like an new one.

I had a Saturn that had both the BCM and ECM go bad at the same time that I think were damaged by a bad battery. At least the battery died the day the BCM and ECM were replaced.

P0601 is a internal fault in the ECM. It will need to be replaced and a trip to his tuner to program it. Low cranking voltage can falsely set this code, but it sounds like he has already addressed that. Answering your question directly, all ecm's can be flashed, but this code refers to a hardware problem not software.

I think this is damage to the wires after the accident! You need to check the ignition contacts! Although I am often involved in plastic surgery here cosmetic practice because of this is often busy!
