Thanks for the lead - still too much money for my taste on a piece of rubber.

I wouldn't even need to consult the manual for something simple like this.

It is one complete piece. Start lifting one part up and then start pulling and the whole thing will come off. I've done it countless of times with similar vehicles at the junkyard. No service manual required.

The strip has plastic nubs that insert into holes in the rocker panel. I put zl1 rockers on my car and it came with new weather stripping. Took 30 seconds to put it on but pay attention to orientation. There is a front and back on the strip.

No it doesn't go into the rockers.....it slips over the pinch weld around the entire door opening. A word of caution when you install it....do not stretch it or you will end up with several inches too much weather strip when you reach the end. Actually I see yours is a convertible but even so don't stretch it.

Try this place(dealership):https://www.maloufpartsxperts.com/oe...strip-22950429. I know it's 276.00 and the convertible one that was posted earlier in the thread was $180.00. They are genuine GM parts and I had the same exact issue you have. It was such an eyesore. I can't speak for the Amazon versions but the weather strip I bought had a bead of glue on the inside and was easy to install. Hope this helps.

Nothing funny about it. Warrantees to not cover wear and tear damage.
If you had a dent in your fender would you expect GM to fix it? Same thing

Thanks 45 and Joe! if it just peels off the pinch weld, too easy...I have the part in hand, ordered it and it just looked odd when i got it. think the back end i have to remove the side panel top cover and it fits into something under it...its triangled shaped..lets give it a whirl and see what happens...

You may have to pull a trim piece or 2 off, but no doubt I'm sure you can handle this job. Like I said though, don't stretch it.....just lay it in place and push it onto the pinch weld.....I'd probably start from the back.

Have you check a local bone yard yet to see if they have any wrecked Camaros?? Get one from there. They'll probably let you have it for free...
