Help me get rid of my CATS ! PLEASE !

Hello all,

After a long year of no track days plus baby, Finally my wife gave me "GO" to order the Corsa NPP system along with the X-pipe. The boxes arrived yesterday and sitting in my garage. I know the new X-pipes doesn't delete the 2nd cats and I thought it wasn't a big deal and I can get it done in any exhaust shops. So I called few exhaust shops in Ohio ( around Columbus area ) and ever one just shot me down saying its illegal and they can't do it. I don't want to cut the factory system.

Has anyone did a self install of the new corsa x-pipe (deleting 2nd cat) without cutting the OEM system ? With just off the shelf parts ? If so, can some one post the links of parts to order ?

your help will be much appreciated. PLEASEEE !!!

Also, I'm totally aware of the fact that the 2nd cat delete will only increase minor amount of sound. I have installed and driven awe track system with AWE link pipes on my buddies SS 1LE and also, driven another buddie's ZLE with Corsa Xtreme without 2nd cat delete. personally, I felt the 2nd cat deletes add more crackles and pop and I simply enjoy and love that.

Thanks again.

Pics for attention and I'm cherishes those care free days. lol

Brother I'm in the same boat...been trying to get my hands on some AWE PLP's at any price and striking out. Have the AWE Touring system sitting in a box because I am just waiting to find the pipes.

Worst case I'm just going to cut and install and if I can get some of the PLP's later I'll install them separately and ditch the secondaries. Even more frustrating as I had a 2019 with the same system and PLP's and naively assumed they would still be available for my 2022 this time around.

More idiotic government bullshit (because clearly going after exhaust makers for eliminating cats only required in CA is the most pressing concern of our modern times right?).

Wish you all the luck man, if you find an easy solution please let me know too.

Crazy thing, I was able to get a set of AWE link pipes from a great member here installed very easily and love the sound on my factory NPp sold the secondary cats today for 50bucks and the scrap place says they are an aftermarket cat? Like they were not very interested in them?

well the more parties there are and the hands they go through the smaller the amount becomes. metal did take a big dip recently but they are up again so you just have to know when to go in and go to a refinery direct.

I installed the Corsa NPP and X-pipe on my car and there are a ton of pops/crackles on decel. I love the exhaust even with the secondary's in place. I miss the old days too, but honestly the only part that bothers me is having to cut the stock exhaust.

Good luck to you bro ! I just got off the phone with my ss 1le buddy. He moved to CA last year and got his 2nd cats installed to pass SMOG. He said he will mail me the plp tomorrow. But with a condition lol. He said he would take them back, when he moves out of CA. And he is planning to move to Utah in few months. Oh well. FML.
