My new build

Finally completed the build I have always wanted and it has exceeded all my expectations.

Started with just stock tune and rotofab intake (A10). Blake Leonard started Top Speed Cincy about 4 years ago after working for WeaponX. WeaponX quit building engines. It is the same shop with a Mustang dyno but, Blake owns the shop now. Here is the build which was my want list.

Stg II btr cam w/ 38% fuel lobe, .660" lift Platinum spring kit, Titanium retainers,
chrommoly push rods.
STOCK heads and vlvs
GM Gen V cam bolt
WT Camshaft bolt
DSX low side kit
NW 103
Rotofab big gulp
2" ARH into 3" with cats, stock muffler
Weapon X triple ht exchangers
MM cc
Kong X port
IW V3 ZL1 8-ribbalancer w/ Metco ring
BTR GEN V/ afm delete kit
BTR Gen V VVT lockout
ARP head studs, Johnson lifters
ARP LT-4 crank bolt
TCM tune

Incedentals:
Z26 brake pads
BMR Lockout kit
AMP billet thermostat housing with 160 stat
Brisk RR 12S Plugs

On a Mustang loaded dyno it pulled 720 rwhp, 634 lbs tq, 15 psi boost, 7th gear pull

Awesome build. I really like the look of the Eaton. Whose lid is that? I'm curious why you stayed with stock heads and valves, an aftermarket set of which makes a dramatic difference.

The lid is made by WeaponX and is only cosmetic but, boy does that blower whine come thru especially with a big gulp.

Looking at previous builds with ported stock heads or aftermarket was not in my budget at this time. We determined the cost for at least porting the stock heads would not gain that much for the cost. My goal was the cam, everything else was needed to support that with the budget I had. Today's ride showed me this car does not lack anything for street use only.

Looks great. How does it sounds with the bigger cam and stock muffler?

Wish I knew how to upload a video file without putting it on YouTube or I would. Has a muscular crackle and it barks pretty loud when you get on it. What I didn't expect was to hear that much more whine from the blower being ported, WeaponX lid and the big gulp.
I also didn't expect to have that much gain with the stock heads. I have no plans at this time to change anything.

What do u call dramatic? When i did my build a few years ago, most were reporting 25-35rwhp gain for the $2k investment. That is why i opted not to do them at this point. Are they getting more now as new stuff hits the market?

My builders experience with ported heads said, "maybe 20 rwhp more" for $2k - $2.5k.

That's my understanding as well. 20-25whp. Certainly not dramatic by any means. You have to consider the source.

He's gained 145 hp over stock. My point was that there's an additional ~28-30% available in the heads. To me that's dramatic or considerable. I now see that the OP did not believe there would be sufficient hp/$, which is all I was asking.
